Tattoos in old age
Tattoos are generally considered for the young but thankfully in this day and age the perception of tattoos in general is changing and we are lucky to actually have senior citizens with tattoos who aren’t afraid to show off their amazing tats!
Look at this guy!
Just so long as your willing to pay for a great artist to tattoo you then you have nothing to worry about when you get old. Great artists will ensure that tattoos are put into the right layer of skin, not too deep or too shallow. They should also use the best equipment they can buy including needles, machines and obviously ensure that the environment your being tattooed in is hygienic and sterile.
Here at Monumental Ink we only have the best artists we can find. When we all eventually get older you need to have tattoos with great linework and solid shading or colour. We pride ourselves on our eye for detail, perfectionist approach and only use the best needles, machines and equipment we can find to make sure your tattoo will last throughout the ages.
After care is also a major factor not just for the first two weeks but for the rest of your life. The main enemy any tattoo has is the sun. We all love going on holiday and getting a tan but exposing your tattoo to the sun for long periods is a real bad idea. Your best friend is suntan lotion. We all gradually go down to single digit suncreams by the end of our holidays, to make sure we come back as brown as possible. Try keeping any tattooed areas at a high factor sun cream is imperative to keeping them looking smart, especially with shading and colours. Under the sun colours and greys can fade, which obviously detracts from your awesome tattoos, so although none of us want to, treat your tattoo like a child, cover up or plaster it with spf50 lotion!

With all that in mind, make your choices wisely, and wear your tattoos with pride for the rest of your life.
