Realism Tattoos

Realism is a style that artists need to work hard to master. The artist must understand the fundamentals of shadows, shading, light and dark before they can fully do a realism piece justice. 

Portraits especially come with a huge amount of pressure, particularly when depicting a loved one. This is where choosing your artist is key to make sure it is done justice. Realism can come in colour or black and grey. Some artists will also have their own spin on it too.

My dad (Paul Bowman) came here for his sleeve and then went back for another consultation for his other arm. Mike Sklavenitis pointed out an area of skin that he wasn't happy to tattoo without a doctors note. The skin in question wasn't risen or looked like a concern however it later turned out to be skin cancer. We would like to say a massive thank you to Mike as this has probably saved my dad's life and goes to show their duty of care here really is top notch. Thank you again and we will always recommend you. Xxx

Would like to thank Mike from Monumental Ink for my amazing back tattoo.
It’s been a fantastic experience and well worth the months of hard work Mike put into this piece.
This tattoo has exceeded my expectations by a 1000% and Mike is a true artist and extremely talented tattooist.
The rest of the staff and artists couldn’t do enough for me whilst I was there and they have all taken tattooing to the next level.
